In 2022, Market Farm Equipment Limited celebrated 60 years of serving the farm industry. Established in 1962 by Howard and Eve Market in the small hamlet of McGregor, Ontario, Market Farm Equipment began as a manufacturer’s rep/distributor.   After a fire destroyed the original building in the early 1970s, Market Farm Equipment relocated to its current location in South Western Ontario, 4 miles north of Grand Bend along the eastern shore of Lake Huron. In 1976, Howard and Eve’s daughter and her husband, Barb and LeRoy Meloche, purchased the business. As the company continued to grow, Barb and LeRoy’s daughter Pat became the Secretary in 1984, and the following year Pat’s Husband, Howard Green, started work as the Sales Rep. In the early 90s, many changes occurred in the farm industry, including no-till planters and drills, along with a need for an easy-fill auger system.  This quickly established Market Farm Equipment as a leading plastic auger producer throughout Canada and the United States. 2000 saw a third-generation take over the reins when Pat and Howard Green became the new owners of Market Farm Equipment.  Long on tradition, a fourth-generation, Pat and Howard’s daughter, Natasha (2005), along with her husband Chris Fisher (2009), manage the business.  Market Farm Equipment can truly be considered global, with augers around the world in such places as the United States, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, France, Spain & the Philippines. In 2018, Market Farm Equipment ventured into the world of golf, designing and manufacturing a fairway roller & a green roller. We would like to thank the farmers, dealers, suppliers, distributors, friends, and past & present employees who have made our past 60 years successful, and look forward to continuing to serve the farm industry.
